I.C.T successfully delivered and handed over a fully customized SMT production line, DIP line, PCBA cleaning, and traceability system to a major European automotive electronics producer in just 13 days, including comprehensive training and certification for client engineers.

A leading European company active in automotive electronics, alongside LED lighting, renewables, and aerospace sectors, recently completed installation of a new SMT production facility with support from I.C.T. The project encompassed a full automatic SMT line—featuring stencil printer, 3D SPI, pick-and-place, reflow oven with central support system, 3D AOI, X-ray counter and inspection, laser marker, handling equipment—paired with custom DIP line, PCBA cleaner, and traceability solution.

Key challenges centered on achieving consistent stability in DIP insertion and selective soldering processes critical for automotive-grade PCBA reliability.

A team of two I.C.T engineers arrived on-site in Europe.

Over days 1–4, equipment was installed and initially tested. Trial production began day 5, with the first product completed day 6 and multiple products handled day 7. Days 8–10 focused on training six client engineers in operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across key machines including the chip mounter, reflow oven, and laser marker. Specific adjustments addressed feeder supply for DIP and reflow cooling uniformity. Days 11–12 involved client-led testing and certification; day 13 marked final handover with documentation and training certificates issued.

The project enabled the client to operate and maintain the line independently, fostering a long-term collaborative relationship built on demonstrated reliability and support.
